Bangladesh’s Balance of Payments records $377m surplus
Tuesday, April 8th, 2008Bangladesh’s current account recorded a positive surplus for December 2007. The explanation for the positive surplus is believed to be due to a high inflow of inward remittances and a rise in export earnings.
The overall balance of payments (BOP) at the end of December was a surplus of $377 million , this is a small increase on the previous year similar period of $347 million.
